Awoniyi suffered a significant abdominal injury while playing for the Tricky Trees in May. The 27-year-old underwent a two-part surgical operation as a result of the injury. Additionally, Babajide expressed his excitement about joining AS Roma, stating, ‘I’m Happy To Be Here.’ The striker was present at Nottingham Forest’s final league match of the season against Chelsea at the City Ground after being discharged from the hospital. Awoniyi returned to practice with his teammates for the first time since the incident on Tuesday. The Nigerian is anticipated to return to play slowly as he regains full fitness.
