Ayisha Modi, formerly known as She Loves Stonebwoy, has spilled the beans on what caused a 2020 scuffle between the reggae-dancehall artist and Sarkodie’s long-time manager, Angel Town.
Speaking in a video shared via her social media pages, Modi said Stonebwoy assaulted Angel Town out of anger after being told that Shatta Wale is slated to perform before him.
Modi accused Stonebwoy of being jealous of Shatta Wale. She said that jealousy drives most of the actions Stonebwoy takes in his life and career.
Narrating what happened on that fateful day in August 2020 when Stonebwoy was accused of slapping Angel Town, Ayisha Modi said Stonebwoy, who was slated to perform at Sarkodie’s Black Love Virtual Concert, was informed by Sarkodie’s manager that Shatta Wale would be taking the stage before him.
Modi alleges that immediately Stonebwoy heard the name Shatta Wale, he lost his mind and struck Angel Town, who fell down hard. Modi claims that Stonebwoy then jumped on the fallen artist manager and delivered some more blows.
She said she even got injured as she attempted to separate them. Modi claims Stonebwoy bit her in the heat of the scuffle, and she responded by hitting him.
On their ride home, Modi said she berated Stonebwoy for destroying the concert and wasting the massive amounts of money she invested in him. Modi claims Stonebwoy apologised to her, saying he does not know what came over him.
At the time of the incident, news of the attack emerged, with competing narratives of what happened. Modi, a Stonebwoy insider who was present during the incident, said she is revealing this to set the record straight.
Ayisha Modi has been on a ‘revelation’ tour against Stonebwoy recently, sharing numerous ’embarrassing’ secrets about the artist. She mocked him in a video revealing how he ran away from performing to a paltry crowd in the United States, and in another video, ‘exposed’ him for being ungrateful to Asamoah Gyan after the footballer paid for surgery to repair his knee.
Background
Sarkodie organised a virtual concert known as the Black Love Virtual Concert in August 2002 at the height of the pandemic. Numerous top local stars were slated to perform, including Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Shockingly, news emerged that Stonebwoy had ‘slapped’ Sarkodie’s manager during the event, sparking pandemonium. Stonebwoy later apologised to Angel Town, and the two camps reconciled.
In an interview addressing the issue in October 2020, Stonebwoy said he was kept waiting for hours without being allowed to perform, which sparked the misunderstanding with Angel Town.
