U.S.-based Ghanaian socialite and music enthusiast Ayisha Modi once again called out Daddy Lumba for failing to pay her back after she bought medication for him while he was sick.
Modi, in a TikTok live video, revealed that over a decade ago, legendary Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumba fell very ill, was bedridden, and needed some specialist medication purchased from abroad.
Modi, being in the United States and always eager to help, volunteered to buy the medication and bring it to the ‘Aben Wo Ha’ hitmaker.
According to her, aside from medication, she also purchased some clothes to give to the music legend as a gift.

Modi narrated that upon arrival in Ghana, she travelled to Daddy Lumba’s home, where she was told he was asleep. Modi said she presented the drugs to his wife and informed her that she brought the musician some clothes as a gift, but that the medication was purchased as agreed on for her to be reimbursed.
The socialite claims Daddy Lumba’s wife said she will inform him once he’s awake, so he effects the payment. Subsequently, Modi never heard back, so she called again to enquire about her money. She said whenever she called, Lumba’s wife would tell her the singer is sleeping, and she never got her money back.
Modi broke down in tears in her video as she cried out over always being treated ungratefully by people she helps. She said she has kept Lumba’s shameful conduct within her for years, but now feels the need to expose him, especially considering, aside from not paying for the drugs, she never even got a ‘thank you’ from the musician.
In 2020, Ayisha first hinted at Daddy Lumba owing her some money during her feud with Obrafour. Modi at the time claimed she helped Obrafour with funds to produce one of his songs, Kasiebo, alleging she spent over $45,000. Ayisha said Obrafour was ungrateful towards her despite her significant investments in him. Obrafour, in return, sued her, demanding an apology and a retraction. In response, Ayisha said she has helped many people, including Daddy Lumba, on whom she spent over $800 buying medication. Modi said out of all the people she has ever helped, Obrafour was the most ungrateful.
Legendary Ghanaian singer Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, revealed in a 2022 interview that he fell sick and was bedridden for over ten years. He said that during his illness, he realised that despite all his fame and fortune, not many people genuinely cared about him because he was left to suffer all alone.
