On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the Awalé party, marked by the departure of Abdourahmane Diouf and Mimi Touré’s appeal for a large regroupment with the Diomaye President coalition, the director general of Kéwoulo TV, Babacar Touré, delivered a sans détour analysis on these positions. According to him, “if Mimi Touré had been appointed Prime Minister under Macky Sall, she would never have been part of Benno Bokk Yakaar”. He recalled that the latter firmly defended the former president, going so far as to affirm that ” Macky did not have the agenda of the rendezvous of Sweet Beauty “, in reference to the case that had opposed Ousmane Sonko to Adji Sarr. As regards Abdourahmane Diouf, Babacar Touré considers that the latter, when he was director of the Club des investisseurs sénégalais (CIS), “received a salary of 18 million CFA francs” and “had no awareness of the difficulties experienced by certain professional groups, notably the boulangers or the street vendors”. Touré also notes a trend: ” whether it is Serigne Gueye Diop or Abdourahmane Diouf, many join the Diomaye Président coalition after having been dismissed by Macky Sall “. Finally, Babacar Touré praises the constancy of Ousmane Sonko, whom he describes as “a man of principle, who has trained ministers and contributed to the appointment of numerous directors general”. According to him, the attempts at division within the Sonko-Diomaye tandem will not weaken the coalition, because “their union rests on a solid foundation”.
