Balogun will not participate in the match between St Mirren and Rangers due to an injury.

Leon Balogun will miss Rangers’ Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren at Smisa Stadium in Paisley today. He sustained a fractured cheekbone during last week’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Athletico Bilbao. The 36-year-old underwent surgery this week and will likely be unavailable for some time. However, there is a possibility he might return to play in the final four matches of the season for Barry Ferguson’s team. Balogun has played 23 matches in total for the Light Blues this season. The ex-Brighton defender’s contract will expire at the end of the season, and he is anticipated to depart Ibrox as a free agent. The Nigerian has had two tenures at Rangers. He first joined the club in 2020 and left after two years before making a return in 2023, signing a one-year contract extension last summer. By Adeboye Amosu.
