A bandit attack in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State has left one person dead, 10 others abducted, and several cattle stolen.
The raid occurred at about 12:40 am on Monday, when armed men, firing sporadically, attacked Gidan Yawa and Lamuntani villages through Gulubba District.
A 32-year-old man, Abdullahi Sani, was shot dead during the attack.
The assailants also abducted 10 residents and made away with eight cows before fleeing the area.
Authorities said efforts were underway to track down the attackers and secure the release of those abducted.
Residents have been advised to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist security agencies in apprehending the bandits.
