Barcelona is contemplating the decision to strip Ter Stegen of his captaincy as they prepare for the upcoming season.  

According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona is contemplating stripping goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen of his captaincy. Ter Stegen will not be part of the squad traveling to Asia for their pre-season tour due to his decision to have surgery on his back issues, which will keep him sidelined for three months, causing him to miss several matches next season. In related news, goalkeeper James Trafford is expected to join Manchester City this summer. Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Trafford is set to undergo his medical examination for Man City next week, with the club agreeing to pay Burnley £27 million for his transfer.
