​Bassey was not awarded the Player of the Match accolade for Fulham’s game against Forest.    

 

Calvin Bassey, who scored the decisive goal in Fulham’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest, only managed to secure third place in the Player of the Match voting. The announcement made on the club’s website revealed that Bassey lost to Adama Traore, who received nearly 50% of the fan votes at 45.7%. Saša Lukić came in second with 28.1%, while Bassey garnered 8.5%. Bassey’s goal, which came in the 62nd minute from a header off a Raul Jimenez assist, marked his first score in 24 Premier League matches this season, with his last goal dating back to a 2-1 win against Manchester United on February 24, 2024. This victory has positioned Fulham in eighth place on the league table with a total of 39 points.
