Sarah Adwoa Safo, a former Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament, has revealed that her own party, the New Patriotic Party ( NPP ), destroyed the Accra-based transport company’s site.
She revealed in an interview with Okay 101.7FM in Accra that her parents, Apostle Ing. Dr. Kwadwo Safo, the pastor of the Kristo Asafo religion, was the owner of Imperial Express, which has its headquarters close to Agbogbloshie in Central Accra.
Safo claimed that the property on which the company’s headquarters was located was state property that had been leased to her father’s business.
She claimed that she and her dad woke up one morning to discover that a political task force had destroyed the transport company’s premises while she was reportedly having some issues with other members of her own party at the time.
Safo claimed they had no idea about the demolition, which meant they were unable to actually remove their valuables, including cars, from the area. They just discovered that it had been destroyed.
The former Gender Minister admitted to keeping all of these trials and tribulations between her and her father secret, but presently thinks this is the right time to do so.
