​Bilateral meeting between Senegal and the Czech Republic at the UN: Towards a strengthened partnership 

  On the sidelines of the 80th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (AGNU), the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, held talks with his Czech counterpart, H.E. What is it? This meeting, which is part of the intense diplomatic discussions surrounding the world event, highlights Senegal’s efforts to expand its network of international partnerships. The exchanges between the two Heads of State focused mainly on strengthening bilateral relations. At the heart of the discussions: the prospects for cooperation in the economic, technological and educational fields. The two leaders expressed a common will to deepen this partnership, underlining the importance of a mutually beneficial collaboration in a global context marked by common challenges such as sustainable development, innovation and education. This initiative illustrates the diplomatic strategy of Senegal under the presidency of Bassirou Diomaye Faye, elected in March 2024. The West African country is actively seeking to diversify its alliances, going beyond its traditional partners to consolidate ties with European nations such as the Czech Republic.
