The festival this year is a love letter to those who are familiar with the wonder of a carefully selected set of strong cuts, outspoken runs, and magic of a carefully planned set. Enthusiasts who attended Superdome as children and found their up-and-coming stars in the Superlounge should watch this. Every information in this year’s event continues to demonstrate that we are Made Like This, as ESSENCE Magazine honors its 55-year history of story, spirit, and wisdom. An already impressive collection of music’s most profound icons, legends, and rising stars is enhanced by the 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture ® presented by Coca-Cola Evening Concert Series, which also features some unique surprises that are only accessible in person. Grammy Award-winning singer and musician Babyface are among the newly announced additions to the lineup, along with a specially curated Jill Scott and Friends set featuring three generations of Philly mind aristocracy: the Godmother, superstar musician Patti LaBelle, Grammy Award-winning R&, B image Jazmine Sullivan, and Jill herself. They all come together for one memorable night in New Orleans. They join earlier unnamed headliners like R&, the B quartet Boyz II Men, the chart-topping global sensation Davido, Master P, the very unique cultural architect in New Orleans, and Maxwell, the B icon.
