(BPRW) National Urban League and DoorDash Expand the Virtual Financial Empowerment Center with New Mobile App

The National Urban League and DoorDash Launch the Virtual Financial Empowerment Center (VFEC ) App in April 2025 in conjunction with the launch of the VFEC App. Since its inception, the VFEC has provided individual monetary training and self-paced learning opportunities to empower people and families with the knowledge and abilities they need to build intergenerational wealth and maintain financial stability. With the release of the software, program participants will have access to more and more resources for economic empowerment, making it possible to use tools developed by experts for financial literacy at any time, anywhere. Meeting people where they are and giving them the information they need to understand their financial trip with confidence will be a feature of the mobile app, which will have curated, on-demand content, engaging short-form videos, and engaging lessons. The VFEC software is a potent tool in shaping the future we want to see for the people we serve, according to Marc H. Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League.” Financial independence is key to thriving areas. By expanding access to free, useful financial education, we are providing people and families with the tools they need to create a stable future. This program is a direct result of our commitment to reducing poverty, bridging the racial wealth gap, and ensuring that everyone has the option to prosper. Katherine Rodriguez, Head of National Policy Engagement, said, “VFEC represents what DoorDash and the National Urban League’s relationship does best: getting education solutions to the people who need them, how they need them. Since our relationship began, we have seen this program expand and add its services to over 50 distinct training for the 92 National Urban League members. The launch of the VFEC software will enable Urban League customers and chasers across the nation to have access to these life-changing financial learning resources at house, on the go, and on their own timetable. 675 consumers have participated in the captain group of 11 Urban League affiliates, 777 have completed the courses, and 467 have already finished them.
