This cultural wellness event aims to highlight Black mental health in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. (Black PR Wire) Atlanta, GA — In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, Black Female Therapists (BFT) based in Atlanta will hold its second annual Reset Fest on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Ambient Studios. This engaging one-day event combines therapeutic methods, artistic expression, and cultural elements to foster an atmosphere where healing is perceived as a celebration rather than a chore. The Reset Fest was initiated by Amber Dee, a therapist and founder of BFT, who started the platform after encountering the widespread difficulty of locating a Black female therapist for herself. Her individual quest resulted in the creation of a national directory and a digital wellness brand focused on promoting access to culturally relevant mental health care and diminishing stigma associated with mental health issues in Black and Brown communities. Since 2018, Black Female Therapists has developed into a lifestyle and media platform providing access to therapists, affirmations, community-oriented wellness events, and open discussions about healing and various aspects of mental health. Reset Fest embodies this purpose, aiming to assist individuals in their emotional, mental, and social well-being. “Our goal was to develop an experience that celebrates mental health in a way that feels joyful, affirming, and culturally relevant,” stated Amber Dee. “The Reset Fest exemplifies this concept in practice.”
