Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has given the go-ahead for Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade to be the new Alaafin of Oyo. This news was announced on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, who spoke on the governor’s behalf. He mentioned that after extensive consultations and divinations, Owoade was recommended by the Oyomesi and that the governor has officially approved the name. Further details will follow.
