Some Nigerian filling stations have dropped their retail fuel prices.
Checks by DAILY POST on Monday showed that Ranoil and Empire Energy filling stations dropped their petrol pump prices to N1,370 and N1,383 per liter, down from N1,440 and N1430 per liter, respectively.
This means that the filling stations adjusted their retail pump price downwards by N70 and N37 per liter.
A manager, who preferred anonymity, told DAILY POST that the adjustment was to remain competitive in petrol pricing in the countryās downstream sector.
DAILY POST reports that Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and MRS filling stations dispense petrol at N1,361 and N1,367 per litre respectively.
The development comes as crude oil prices plummeted by almost 10 percent to $100.2 per barrel for Brent and $88.85 per barrel for West Texas Intermediate as both US and Iran authorities confirmed talks to end war escalation in the Middle East.
The downward trend of Crude oil prices on Monday have triggered hopes that Dangote Refinery would drop its gantry petrol which stood at N1,245 per litre after several hikes in the March 2026.
