During a recent Instagram live session, Kuti responded to some fans’ comments, stating that he does not wish to be part of the situation, emphasizing that receiving diamond jewelry from Burna Boy does not mean he serves as his advisor. He added that Diddy, whom Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of having inappropriate dealings with, is the same person who helped Speed Darlington gain fame. “Don’t drag me into the dispute between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington; just because I received a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close advisor.” Diddy played a significant role in making Speed Darlington famous by reposting “Bangdadang,” which helped boost the song’s popularity. “I’ve created many songs, but Diddy hasn’t shared any of them, while he did repost Speed Darlington’s song,” he stated.
