Enyimba was eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 3-1 to Zamalek at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday night. Mustafa Shalaby scored the opening goal for Zamalek just before the half-hour mark. Seifeddine Jaziri extended their lead three minutes into the second half. Ifeanyi Ihemekwele cut the deficit for the away team in the 57th minute. Jaziri netted his second goal of the match three minutes before the end. Enyimba ended up in third place in Group D, earning five points from six matches.
