​Cambérène : The Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko presents his condolences to the family of the deceased Lamine Dieng 

  In a letter dated 5 July 2025, the Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, visited the home of Lamine Dieng, who died following an incident with the police. According to the primature, the head of the Senegalese Government has offered his condolences and those of the President of the Republic to the family of the deceased before recalling the commitment of the State to shed light on the circumstances that led to the death of the two young people, last Friday in Camberene. “Assuring the assistance of his government to the families of the victims, Ousmane SONKO has expressed his gratitude to the local religious authorities who have mobilized to calm the situation”, reports the same source. “Baye Rahne Gueye, speaking on behalf of the DIENG family, expressed its gratitude to the President of the Republic and his Government. “We are very pleased that the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Baye Rahne Gueye, has taken the initiative to address this tragic situation, and we are very pleased that the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Baye Rahne Gueye, has taken the initiative to address this tragic situation.
