Car accident results in 2 fatalities, 15 injuries on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway 

An isolated incident involving a Toyota Hiace bus at Saapade on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 15 others. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, confirmed the occurrence on Thursday in Abeokuta, mentioning that the accident happened at 4:34 p.m. On Thursday, it was explained that a tyre burst led to a loss of control during an incident. The bus flipped over and crashed. According to the report, there were 18 people on board the bus marked LSR 585 YH, including nine men, five women, two boys, and two girls. The FRSC spokesperson mentioned that 15 individuals sustained injuries, consisting of eight men, four women, two boys, and one girl, while two people, a man and a woman, lost their lives. She added that the injured were transported to PATMAG Hospital in Ogere, and the deceased were taken to the State General Hospital morgue in Isara. The spokesperson noted that Sector Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin urged drivers to be more vigilant about their vehicles, especially during times of heavy traffic.
