British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has disagreed with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta over his comments after the team’s Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Arteta watched as Man City defeated the Gunners 2-0 to lift this year’s Carabao Cup trophy.
After the final whistle, Arteta claimed that he picked goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga over David Raya to start against Man City because it was the “right and honest” decision.
According to Arteta, it would be unfair not to start Kepa, who has been the goalkeeper for the competition so far.
Reacting, Morgan, in a post on X, said he disagreed with Arteta’s comments.
“Don’t agree with this. The Best available XI should play any cup final. Sentiment should never come into it.”
