Cassano: Lookman Would Be an Excellent Substitute for Kvaratskhelia at Napoli

Former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano believes that Ademola Lookman, the Super Eagles winger, would be an ideal successor to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at Napoli. Since joining Atalanta in 2022, Lookman has shown remarkable form over three seasons. In an interview with Viva El Futbol, as reported by Tifo Juventus, Cassano urged Napoli to recruit the Nigerian international this summer, highlighting Lookman’s potential to thrive at the club. “I would go after Lookman; he would be an outstanding addition.” “He runs, scores goals, provides assists, and is coached by a talented player like Gian Piero Gasperini.” Napoli’s manager, Antonio Conte, views the Atalanta player as the perfect long-term successor to Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain in January. Lookman is regarded as the most feasible high-quality player currently on the market. Napoli is reportedly ready to bid up to €50 million for the former Everton winger, but Atalanta is holding out for €60 million and is willing to sell to the highest bidder. Lookman has had an impressive run in Bergamo, scoring 52 goals and providing 25 assists in 108 matches across all competitions.
