
The Central Planning Committee for the grand reception of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced that a massive turnout is expected at the Jos Polo Field on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Ahmed Idris Wase said, “Plateau State is witnessing a profound and historic political realignment, one that signals a clear transition toward unity, inclusive leadership, and collective responsibility.”
He added that the reception is a testament to Governor Mutfwang’s visionary leadership and commitment to the people of Plateau State.
The event is expected to attract prominent dignitaries, including Vice President Kassim Shetima, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and other top government officials.
The committee has assured robust security arrangements and crowd management measures to ensure a peaceful and successful event.
“Governor Mutfwang’s decision to join the APC is seen as a strategic move to create a broad, unifying political platform, prioritising the people above party interests.
“His leadership is expected to foster a people-centred political culture, promoting peace, inclusiveness, cooperation, and development in Plateau State”.
