A significant portion of central and southern Alberta is being issued severe storm pieces on Sunday, which start just north of Edson and end just north of Lethbridge. The view area includes the cities of Calgary and Red Deer.

After Environment Canada issued a number of severe thunderstorm watches, people in central and southern Alberta are being advised to watch the clouds on Sunday.

According to the national climate agency, Sunday evening and into evening, the weather is favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms. According to the caution, damaging winds and massive hail are also possible, and driving conditions may be challenging.

A number of severe storms that swept through Environment Canada on Friday caused an region of eastern Alberta, close to Hanna, to be issued storm warnings. There are no confirmed information of any storms touching down, despite some reports of cone clouds being spotted on social media. On Saturday, a wind rolled through the village of Drake Landing in Okotoks, where Charlene Tondu, who was celebrating her son’s birthday with her family, claimed several feet of storm dumped into the mother’s gardens. 1: 57
