Goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena and defender Abdularafiu Taiwo resumed light training on Thursday as the home-based Super Eagles gear up for their match against Sudan. Ozoemena was unable to participate in Nigeria’s first Group D match against Senegal on Tuesday due to a knee issue, but is now on track to return for the game against Sudan. Taiwo had to miss Wednesday’s recovery session after sustaining an injury during the match against Senegal, where he was substituted by Harrison Uzondu around the 60-minute mark. Eric Chelle’s team is set to face Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar next Tuesday.
