Vincent Temitope had an opportunity to score from a penalty for Eric Chelle’s team but missed in the early minutes of the game. However, Anthony Ijoma, a striker from Abia Warriors, netted the decisive goal. The home Eagles plan to play more friendly matches leading up to the CHAN 2024 finals. Eric Chelle’s team began their preparations for the competition in Ikenne last Monday. They are placed in Group D alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo. The home Eagles are set to kick off their campaign against Senegal at Amman Stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday, August 7.
