As people of the Majority and Minority clashed during a period of the Appointments Committee, misunderstandings developed regarding the screening of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. The Minority suggested shifting the verifying to Friday in response to worries over the day’s proceedings. But, the Majority opposed this request, insisting that the screening should proceed as planned.
As the conversation intensified, the program descended into chaos, with furniture overturned and speakers destroyed in the heated trade. Security appearance in the conference room was heightened because conflicts escalated, bringing the agency’s job to a halt.
Some bulk members expressed disappointment over how long Hon. was being vetted. Sam George, arguing that some inquiries were needless and took too long.
Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga adjourned the appointment to the following day because both parties were unable to reach a settlement.
