​Chelsea Cancel Overseas Pre-Season Tour    

 

After lifting the Club World Cup in the United States, Chelsea have called off plans to embark on an overseas pre-season tour.. In a statement issued on the club’s website, the London club will continue their pre-season training at Cobham and play friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan at Stamford Bridge in the VisitMalta Weekender.. Maresca’s side will face Leverkusen on August 8th before playing Italian giants AC Milan just two days later as they prepare for the 2025-26 season.. A post on Chelsea’s website reads: “Having spent much of June and July in the USA competing in our glorious FIFA Club World Cup campaign, we will be staying close to home for pre-season this year. As well as training at Cobham, Chelsea will be hosting the 2025 VisitMalta Weekender friendly tournament at Stamford Bridge.”. Recall that the Blues thrashed Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final of the Club World Cup. A double from the excellent Cole Palmer and a sublime third from in-tournament signing Joao Pedro secured the trophy for Chelsea.
