Polokwane – Five people died on Christmas Eve after their vehicle crashed on the 518, near Mosesetjane Cross, Waterberg district, Limpopo.
The Limpopo Traffic and Road Safety Department said the deadly collision occurred on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
The department said a preliminary investigation indicated that a Hyundai light delivery vehicle lost control and hit a bridge.
A report from the crash scene said five people died, and seven others were injured.
The department said the R518 Mokopane to Marken road was temporarily closed to clear the scene.
Motorists were advised to plan alternative routes and exercise extreme caution.
