An Afghan coach, referred to as Ashgar, has passed away at a youth training camp hosted by Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions, in Riesa, Saxony. Media sources (Diesachsen) report that the honorary coach collapsed on the Feralpi Arena field during lunch on Monday and sadly died in the hospital despite the efforts of emergency responders. At the camp, 119 boys and girls from Riesa and nearby areas were eagerly anticipating five days of training with the Bayern coaches. “Ashgar… collapsed on the field of the Feralpi Arena during the lunch break.” “In the afternoon, we learned the heartbreaking news that Ashgar passed away in the hospital,” stated BSG Stahl Riesa on their website. The club has a three-year contract with the Munich team to manage the camps. Additionally, Klopp expressed his sorrow, saying, ‘I’m Devastated’—mourning Jota’s death. In consideration of the deceased and his family, Bayern concluded the training session at the youth camp prematurely. The Bavarian club issued a statement confirming the details of the unfortunate death upon request. In an email to parents, they expressed, “We are all devastated and shocked by the tragic event that occurred during our FC Bayern Campus training session in Riesa. There are no words to express the gravity of this situation, and our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the family, relatives, and friends.” Children, parents, and coaches have been provided with psychological assistance. The late coach was leading a U-13 youth team in Austria. His home club, TSV Hartberg, shared on Instagram: “He was well-liked by all players, parents, colleagues, and officials due to his consistently friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.” His unexpected passing creates a significant void in our club. In the early hours of Wednesday, Diego Jota, the Liverpool and Portugal forward, tragically lost his life in a car accident in Spain. He was accompanied by his younger brother, who was also a footballer, at the time of the incident.
