Former Chelsea player Jole Cole has urged England manager Thomas Tuchel to consider calling up Arsenal forward, Ethan Nwaneri. The 17-year-old made history in 2022 as the youngest player to appear in the Premier League and has since emerged as a key player under manager Mikel Arteta, who seems to have found an excellent substitute for Bukayo Saka this season. Nwaneri has scored eight goals and provided one assist across all competitions, continuously establishing himself as one of the top young talents in Europe. As England prepares to play against Albania and Latvia later this month, Cole expressed his thoughts during a conversation with TNT Sports, recommending that Tuchel include Nwaneri in the senior team. “In my opinion, he’s talented enough not to require playing with the U21s,” Cole stated to TNT Sports. I believe he is truly exceptional. He should immediately engage with Thomas Tuchel, interact with the team, and gain some playing time. “He will be an England player for the next 10 to 15 years. Exceptional skill, fantastic mindset, he’s in the perfect team at the perfect moment. I would be amazed if Tuchel doesn’t take a close look at him and include him in his main squad. I believe he is going to be a true genius. In my opinion, he is the most thrilling football player in England and possibly in all of Europe. “What he is accomplishing is amazing.”
