Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze will be coached by Massimiliano Allegri at AC Milan, who was announced on Friday as the new head coach following Sergio Conceicao’s departure. This marks Allegri’s return to Milan, where he previously managed from 2010 to 2014. “AC Milan is delighted to confirm that Massimiliano Allegri has taken on the role of Head Coach for the Men’s First Team,” the club stated. Born in Livorno on August 11, 1967, Allegri had a playing career in Serie A with clubs such as Pisa, Pescara, Cagliari, Perugia, and Napoli before starting his coaching career in 2015. He coached Aglianese, SPAL, Grosseto, and Sassuolo before debuting in Serie A with Cagliari in 2008. In 2010, he moved to AC Milan, where he won the club’s 18th Scudetto in his first season, followed by the Italian Super Cup in 2011. He managed Juventus from 2014 to 2019 and again from 2021 to 2024, during which he secured 5 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia trophies, and 2 Italian Super Cups. The club warmly welcomes Massimiliano and wishes him and his staff all the best. Allegri nearly secured the UEFA Champions League title with Juventus in both 2015 and 2017, but was defeated by Barcelona and Real Madrid in the finals.
