​CONFIRMED: Modric Joins Chukwueze at AC Milan    

 

Luka Modric has teamed up with Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Samuel Chukwueze following his transfer to AC Milan, a Serie A powerhouse. Milan officially announced his signing on their website on Monday. “AC Milan is thrilled to reveal that Luka Modrić has signed a deal with the Club lasting until June 214, 2026, with a possible extension for one more year until June 30, 2027,” the statement said. Modrić, born in Zadar on September 9, 1985, began his professional career at the age of 16 when he joined the youth program at Dinamo Zagreb. His loan stints with Bosnian team Zrinjski Mostar and Croatian club NK Inter Zaprešić contributed to his growth as a player. In 2001, Modrić returned to Dinamo, where he played 128 matches and netted 32 goals, assisting the team in winning three league championships, two Croatian Cups, and one Croatian Super Cup over four years. Luka Modrić made his significant transfer to Real Madrid in 2012. During his 13 years with Los Blancos, the Croatian star scored 43 goals in 597 matches and became the most decorated player in the club’s history, achieving six Champions League titles, five Club World Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, five European Super Cups, four LaLiga championships, two Copa del Rey trophies, and five Spanish Super Cups. In 2018, he was awarded the Ballon d’Or, a pinnacle of his illustrious career that has established him as one of the greatest footballers ever. He is the captain of Croatia and holds the record for the most caps for his country, with 188 appearances and 28 goals. Luka Modrić will don the number 14 jersey for the Rossoneri.
