The Senegalese government has met with the press this evening to comment on the report of the Court of Auditors, whose contents occupy all the discussions in Dakar. Meeting on the 10th floor of the administrative building, no less than five ministers prepared themselves for the game of questions and answers. Invited to comment on the possible consequences of what is called ‘the squeeze of public funds in Senegal under Macky Sall’, Ousmane Diagne, the Minister of Justice, stated that an exhaustive investigation would be carried out. In the case of the United Kingdom, the Court of First Instance has consistently held that the Court of First Instance is entitled to rule on the legality of a decision of the Court of Justice of the European Communities. These facts could, if analysed, involve various persons, including former ministers, general directors, accountants, managers and private individuals. “A fait savoir Ousmane Diagne… se voulant très clair, Ousmane Diagne a fait que “all the persons involved in these irregularities and their accomplices will be prosecuted. “A-t-il fait savoir. This is a fact. If he refused to name the names of the persons liable to be prosecuted as invited by the journalists, Ousmane Diagne declared that only an investigation could situate the responsibilities.
