The Council of Press Publishers and Broadcasters of Senegal (CDEPS) has announced the holding of a press point this Monday 20 January 2025 at 11 h 00 at the Maison de la Presse Babacar Touré. This meeting with the media will focus on the crisis that has shaken the media sector in Senegal since the advent of the 3rd political alternation in March 2024. According to the CDEPS, this crisis is marked by numerous challenges facing publishers, journalists and information dissemination structures. The press briefing scheduled for 11 a.m. will be an opportunity for the CDEPS to clarify the current situation in the media sector and to share its concerns. The communication will be made in French and in Wolof, in order to ensure a wide understanding of the message. This press point is open to all national and international media.
