The Crown has argued that Andrew Rosenfeldt shot Nykera Brown to stop her from leaving him throughout the prosecution, believing that no one could have her if he had her. The Crown has provided evidence to support this, including a final contact with her nephew Dregan Brown from 8: 11 p.m. to 8: 14 p.m. the day of her death, as well as journal entries and writings from Brown about improving the lives of her and her child. His sister informed him that she was leaving Rosenfeldt for good and needed a place to store her belongings at 8:13 :55 p.m. Rosenfeldt called the police. Rosenfeldt rang 911 and said,” Someone really shot my girl, please hurry. No one was seen entering or leaving the house after officers examined security camera footage taken outside the building. Rosenfeldt admitted to lying in a subsequent meeting with authorities. Rosenfeldt said,” I really didn’t want to believe it, you know, I really didn’t want to believe it that she shot herself, you know, only made up anything in my head.” Then he removed the weapon and hid it in various locations in the house. In addition, the defense claimed that Brown committed suicide after years of dealing with mental health issues. Rosenfeldt’s claim was made in reference to Rosenfeldt’s unsuccessful connection with her, which led to her being abused and the state of her living circumstances. Currently Trending

Rosenfeldt’s uncle, Robin Vermette, was the only see in the room at the time of the firing. She claimed that she often heard them fighting in her room hours before Brown’s passing and that she frequently heard them fighting. Rosenfeldt is the only one who is aware of what transpired in the hours that were still unknown for when Brown was shot. He has been labeled both a self-diagnosed compulsive liar and an uncertain see by the Crown and the defense.
