​Dakar: The Union for the African Development Community (UCAD), the driving force behind Africa’s digital transformation, is hosting the AFRETEC summit 

  The University Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Dakar has marked a major milestone for the French-speaking area by organizing, this Sunday, the third annual conference of the African Network of Engineering and Technology (AFRETEC). This major event brought together eminent figures from higher education, research and the innovation sector from all over the continent. Placed under the high patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, Professor Daouda Ngom, this meeting placed the acceleration of Africa’s digital transition at the heart of the discussions. Particular emphasis has been placed on the indispensable role of education and entrepreneurship as the fundamental levers for operating this change.
