A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Tunde Benjamin Olaniyi, has called on Nigerians to see death as a necessary end and therefore, prepare for its occurrence.. He reminded Nigerians that wealth and fame would not prevent death when it will come and as such every human being must worship God.. Pastor Olaniyi made the admonition on Thursday at a funeral service in honour of late Barrister Niyi Ayoola-Daniels held at the RCCG International Christian Center, Abuja.. The late Ayoola-Daniels, a pastor with the Redeemed Church, died at the age of 60 years and was buried on Thursday at the Gudu cemetery in Abuja.. The funeral ceremony was attended by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, Solicitor General of the Federation, Mrs Beatrice Jedy-Agba, a former AGF, Chief Akin Olujimi, SAN, Professor of Law, Yemi Akinseye-George, SAN, High Court judges, senior lawyers and top government functionaries.. In the admonition, the clergyman asked Nigerians not to see death as the end but a transition to a new eternal life, especially for those who loved God.. The pastor pleaded that Nigerians while alive must examine themselves and make amends where necessary so as to prepare a place for themselves at the end of life, since no one knows when death would come.. He said, “We should ask ourselves, are we ready? if the answers are in the negative, we must amend our ways of life with a hope in Christ.. “We must get ready by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and our saviour and run away from sins that can take eternal life away from us.”. Pastor Olaniyi pleaded with Nigerians, especially family, friends and relatives of the late legal practitioner and pastor, to honour his memory by living a worthy life and make impact in the lives of others.. According to the clergyman, the late Ayoola-Daniels was ready when death came because he had surrendered himself and accepted Jesus as his saviour.. The late RCCG pastor was the husband of Mrs Leticia Ayoola-Daniels, the Director of Administration of Criminal Justice Reforms in the Federal Ministry of Justice, Abuja.
