The Asagba of Asaba, Prof Epiphany Azinge, has encouraged the Nigeria Forest Security Service, NFSS, to strive to vindicate itself by remaining focused and dedicated to the assigned mandate.
The Asagba gave the charge when the National Deputy Commander of the Delta State Command of the Service paid him a courtesy visit, condemning the unhealthy rivalry among military and para-military organisations.
The monarch charged the forest rangers to remain resolute and hold their head high in the discharge of their duties.
While soliciting a mutual relationship with the outfit,Ā Prof AzingeĀ pledged to identify with, support and encourage the outfit to succeed in the prosecution of its mandate.
āService to oneās country or humanity was not without challenges, especially as it concerns unhealthy rivalry, competition, amongst others. The situation was common in the military and para-military organisations.

He expressed appreciation for the seemingly unsung work the organisation had been doing.
The Asagba remarked that he would be glad if the security outfit could replicate the feats it had achieved in Asaba to help in addressing the security challenges being experienced in some parts of the capital city, adding that the organisationās services would also be needed in the Anwai/Ugbolu, bridge head, Asaba/Ibusa axes, and more importantly along the waterways.
Prof Azinge promised to look into some of the problems of the organisation, especially the closure of its Asaba office.
Earlier in his remarks, the Deputy Commander of the Delta Command, Peter Obus; said the visit was to appreciate the Asagba for his transformative initiatives since ascending the throne, especially in the areas of peace and security.
Obus said the service had greatly complimented the efforts of the police in curbing crime in the state, assuring the Asagba of the readiness of the organisation to partner with the Palace for a more effective surveillance and crime control in Asaba and the environs.
