Demand to leave Morocco for Macky Sall: The Moroccan authorities break the silence and…

Since Wednesday, rumours have circulated about an alleged request from Morocco to the former Senegalese president Macky Sall to leave his territory. According to information obtained by Confidentiel Afrique, the alleged expulsion of Macky Sall from Morocco is merely an unfounded rumor. The media, after having consulted sources close to the royal cabinet, affirms that no extradition request has been formulated by Dakar and that no procedure is pending. ” C’est vous qui me l’apprenez, je ne sais pas vraiment d’où vient cette information. In a letter to the French Foreign Minister, the President of the Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, stated that the French Government had not taken any steps to ensure that the situation in the former Senegalese Republic was resolved. The information would have initially been disseminated by the Mauritanian site Cridem. This case arose in a context where several former dignitaries of the Macky Sall regime are targeted by investigations into sensitive financial files in Senegal. Rabat, for its part, keeps its distance with these affairs and maintains a stable diplomatic posture with Senegal.
