A police operation carried out in the night of 22 July 2025 allowed the forces of order to dismantle a group suspected of criminal activities in the Keur Mbaye Fall district. Eight (08) individuals were arrested in flagrant misdemeanor by the elements of the Commissariat d’arrondissement de Zac Mbao, in a house on a construction site located at rue 10. The intervention was triggered by a strong smell of Indian hemp, detected by a security patrol. Approaching the building in construction from which the smell emanated, the agents discovered eight young men gathered in an enfumée atmosphere, en pleine consommation de stupéfiants. The search of the premises revealed a veritable arsenal, suggesting a structured criminal organization. Among the objects seized are two cornets de chanvre indien, of which a déjà entamé, and a joint encore fumant. The forces of order also seized several blank weapons, including a machete, a knife, a pair of scissors, and an electric taser. A cartridge of unknown calibre, a horn with a pointed end and a bottle containing a suspect liquid rose were also confiscated. The eight suspects have been placed in custody and are now facing serious charges.
