Diomaye: ” The only battle that is worth fighting is the one against the difficulties of the Senegalese ”

As speculations about a supposed disagreement at the top of the State multiplied, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, had to restore the truth. This Monday, in receiving the conclusions of the national dialogue, he affirmed that there was no conflict between him and his Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko. The Head of State gave assurances during the presentation of the conclusions of the national dialogue. “I have heard that there are differences with the Prime Minister. No, I repeat, the Prime Minister is a friend. I have no conflict with him. Our duty is to look in the same direction, where the Senegalese are waiting for us”, he said on the sidelines of the presentation of the General Report of the National Dialogue on the Senegalese Political System to the Head of State, at the Palais de la République. President Faye underlined that the time has come to “focus” on the work of finding solutions to the difficulties of the Senegalese people. “The only fight worth fighting is the fight against the difficulties that the Senegalese endure, that we ourselves endure as governors, that we press on a difficult heritage.
