Djihadists: Birane Ndiaye, one of the six road workers kidnapped in Mali, confesses

De retour dans son village natal de Dakhar Birima, commune de Djolof Fall (Kébémer), Birane Ndiaye, one of the six Senegalese truck drivers kidnapped in Mali, has delivered on Sunday a bouleversant testimony on his calvaire. “I am one of the six road workers kidnapped by the jihadists. We have lived an extremely difficult situation. “If anyone dares to minimize it, it’s because he hasn’t lived it or can’t imagine it”, he confides, still marked.. His truck loaded with tea, estimated at 20 million FCFA, was completely burned by the assailants, at the same time as his papers and his container. Blessed slightly by windshield explosions, he recounts the precarious situation in which he was released: “After our release, a friend gave me 5000 francs. I bought a T-shirt and pants to go home. We give thanks to God for being alive”.
