In his RICO case involving sex workers, violence, manipulation, and “freak-offs,” Sean” Diddy” Combs was sentenced today ( Friday ) to 4 years and 2 months in prison.
The judge claimed that a long sentence would be ineffective to prevent further crimes and that he was not convinced that Combs would be freed from these crimes.
Combs, 55, was found guilty in July of engaging in trafficking while crossing state lines for racial-ethnic marathons. He was cleared of criminal conspiracy and sexual trafficking claims that could have resulted in a life sentence. The hip-hop king even received a half-million dollar fine. Combs has already spent a year in prison, so this word had set him free in about three times. But, Diddy himself, along with his attorneys and community, pleaded for his immediate release and claimed that his time in jail had already forced him to show remorse and sobriety. He was found guilty in July of traveling with his girls and female sex workers all over the country for drug-fueled intimate encounters, which took place over a number of years and in various locations. He was cleared of the claims of racketeering and sex trafficking, which could have put him in prison for life.
It’ll be interesting to see how much of his 50-month prison term is basically served, particularly since Diddy appeared to be convinced that he would be free now. In judge and in his letter to the judge, Diddy expressed emotion before receiving his 50-month statement. His attorneys and children even fought on his representative through the shedding of tears. He added,” I lost my way… I got lost in my journey,” as he also stated in the letter. Medication and excesses left them behind. My ego was the cause of my failure. He continued,” I am only a human being, I was trying my best, I got lost in my additional and lost in my ego.” I lost my flexibility, the ability to raise my kids, and the right to care for my family as a result of my choice. I lost all of my companies, my job, my status, and most importantly, I lost my self-esteem. I have been completely humbled and broken. I despise myself right then. I’ve been completely stripped down,” he claims, but his stupidity in scheduling a speaking engagement for the following year didn’t do him any favors with the judge.
According to the U.S. Attorneys, Diddy had a public appearance scheduled for Miami’s next week in mind, which suggests he anticipated leaving today or immediately.
Giovanni Sairras of Re-Entry One was brought in to describe the incident by the defense. According to Sairras, the look was intended as a speech to assist other people who had previously been incarcerated. However, Diddy’s case possible didn’t help because of the optics and assumption of arrogance.
