Dolly Parton’s father Carl Dean passed away at the age of 82

Carl Dean, the father of Dolly Parton, passed away on Monday at the age of 82, the country music star said. After almost 60 years of marriage, the singer was kept out of the spotlight despite his chart-topping success.
Carl and I had some great times together. Thoughts cannot adequately express the love we have shared for more than 60 years,” Dolly Parton wrote in a blog on X.

On the day she relocated to the state music investment, the singer-songwriter and professional met Dean in 1964 outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was 21 and she was 18 respectively.
According to a blog on her website, the” Jolene” song, known for her beauty and gravity-defying hairdos,” I was surprised and delighted that while he talked to me, he looked at my face ( a rare thing for me ).

Low-key marriage
The couple got married two years later in a straightforward meeting in May 1966, with just Parton’s family, the priest, and his family present.

As his sister’s musical profession rocketed to become known as the “queen of state music,” the Nashville native worked as an cement paver.

The pair has never been a parent.
According to the singer’s website, Virginia” Ginny” Bates was born in 1942 to Edgar “Ed” Henry Dean and Virginia” Ginny” Bates, who Parton affectionately referred to as” Mamma Dean” and claimed she was her best friend.
Sandra and Donnie, Carl Dean’s two younger sisters, are left behind.
