The Senegalese community is deeply saddened after the discovery, this Friday, of the lifeless body of Moustapha Amar, a young man originally from Guemoul, affectionately nicknamed “Naar”. His body was found in a rue de Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, around 17 hours. He had a fatal wound, a knife in his thigh, which led the authorities to suspect a criminal assault. An investigation has been opened by the local police to elucidate the exact circumstances of this tragedy. Although all the hypotheses are considered, the investigators seem to prefer the track of violent aggression, an act that could explain this tragic end for the young Moustapha Amar. The Mauritanian authorities are eagerly awaited for clear answers. Shocked, the relatives of the victim, as well as the Senegalese community in Mauritania, are waiting for a rapid progress of the investigation.
