In Ituri, in the North-East of the Republic (RDC), at least 40 civilians were killed, in the night of Saturday to Sunday 27 July, in the attack of a church. This happened in the centre of Komanda, more than 70 km south of Bunia. The attack is attributed to Ugandan rebels of the ADF, a group affiliated to the Islamic State. Fifteen people are also injured, according to a provisional balance. The raid took place in the middle of the night, around 1 o’clock in the morning. According to several local sources, the assailants first attacked the catholic church of the parish of Bienheureuse Anuarite, de Komanda.
