DRC: President Félix Tshisekedi remanie the government including two moderate opponents

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, President Félix Tshisekedi put an end to the suspense by unveiling, in the night of 7 to 8 August, the composition of the new government led by Prime Minister Judith Suminwa. This new team, which he wanted reorganized, narrowed and open to other trends, had 53 members, the same number as in the previous executive. The great surprise of this announcement is the return of Adolphe Muzito, former Prime Minister under Joseph Kabila, appointed this time to the post of Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Budget. He returned to business after 13 years of absence. In the DRC, no major figures of civil society or of the radical opposition figure in the new government team reorganized by the President, Felix Tshisekedi. On the other hand, the oppositionist Adolphe Muzito, whose positions suggested a rapprochement with the government, was appointed to the budget ministry. A portfolio that he knows well for having directed between 2007 and 2008, before acceding to the primature.
