Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reassured residents of Abuja of adequate security during the Easter celebrations.
Wike stated that the FCT Administration has put in place comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of residents throughout the festive period.
In his Easter message, the minister urged residents, particularly Christians, to use the season as an opportunity to renew their commitment to love, service, and national unity.
He said: “As you celebrate this joyous occasion, I want to assure you that the FCT Administration is committed to ensuring your safety and security.
“Adequate measures are in place to guarantee a peaceful and enjoyable Easter celebration, so you can focus on what matters most – family, friends, and faith.
“To FCT residents, especially the Christians, I wish you a Happy Easter. May this period be a time for reflection, prayer, and demonstrating Christlike love and care to those around you. May this Easter bring hope, love, and redemption to your life, and may the joy of the season fill your heart and home.
“As we celebrate, let’s remember the values of love, compassion, and kindness that Easter represents. May we continue to work together towards building a community that reflects these values, where everyone can live in peace and prosperity.”
The minister also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing infrastructural development in the FCT under his Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I want to also use this opportunity to express my appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda has driven significant development in the FCT.
“His commitment to the progress of the FCT is evident in the numerous infrastructure projects transforming our territory, and I’m proud to be part of this journey towards a more prosperous and harmonious FCT. Once again, I wish you all a Happy Easter and a peaceful celebration,” he said.
