ECL: Panathinaikos Shocks Fiorentina In Thrilling Five-Goal Match

Tete scored the decisive goal as Panathinaikos triumphed over Fiorentina with a score of 3-2 in the round of 16 of the Europa Conference League on Thursday. The home team started off strongly and was rewarded with an opening goal within the first five minutes, when Karol Swiderski skillfully found the top corner from a clever pass by Nemanja Maksimovic. Riding this momentum, Maksimovic increased Panathinaikos’ advantage in the 19th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Pietro Terracciano to score from close range. Despite the hosts’ quick start, Fiorentina wasted no time in seeking an equalizer, and Raffaele Palladino’s team struck back impressively, scoring two goals within three minutes to level the match. The second half began much like the first, with Panathinaikos dominating play, and their persistent pressure resulted in a goal when Tete expertly finished Filip Djuricic’s cut-back into the bottom corner, marking his 11th goal of the season.
