Ekiti: Police charge a 38-year-old man with the theft of two phones.  

The Ekiti State Police Command has brought 38-year-old Ogunrinde Temitope before the Chief Magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly stealing two phones. The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, informed the court that the defendant committed the theft on January 6 at approximately 3:00 a.m. In the Ado community area of the Ado-Ekiti Magisterial District, someone stole an iPhone 7 worth N200,000.00, which belonged to Oso Samuel. Inspector Oriyomi mentioned that this occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on the same date and location. stole an iPhone 12 Pro worth N480,000.00, which belongs to Bakare Simbiat. The prosecutor highlighted that the crime falls under Section 302 of the Ekiti State Law of Nigeria 2021. The defendant’s lawyer, Barrister O. G. Abiola, requested the court to grant his client bail, assuring that he would not flee. Chief Magistrate Mr. Abayomi Adeosun granted bail at N100,000 with one surety of the same amount and scheduled the case for hearing on February 6.
